1. What is a hip seat?
   A hip seat helps to carry the child for shorter periods, usually indoors. It has a wide waistband with a padded shelf-like seat that the child sits on while you hold them with one arm. Instead of holding the child in your arms or on your hip, you can place them on the seat, which reduces the strain on your arms and back. 
   
2. Is Ergobaby Hip Seat machine washable?
   Yes, it is washable. Remove the foam insert and fasten all Velcro straps and buckles before washing. Use a mild detergent without bleach, perfume, dyes, chlorine, or optical brighteners.
   
3. What is the maximum weight for the hip seat?
   Ergobaby Hip Seat can be used up to 20 kg. There is no limit to how long you can carry the child in a specific carrying position; it mainly depends on your and the child's comfort.
   
4. How long is the waistband?
   The waistband can be extended to 132 cm. Note that the wearer should fasten the waistband above the hip.
   
5. How old should the child be to be carried in each carrying position?
   From around 6 months of age, the child can be carried facing the parent, forward, or on the hip. You can also use the hip seat with a smaller child in a lying position as support during breastfeeding.
